MATERIALS

MATERIALS
The reliability and endurance of submersible electric pumps depend greatly on the characteristics of the construction materials used. For this reason, in the design of our submersible electric pumps, thanks to many years of experience in dealing with realistic difficulties, we utilise the best quality materials available on the market. These materials are manufactured by lamellar graphite grey cast iron, austenitized steel, stainless steel AISI 316, DUPLEX, HASTELLOY,SUPERDUPLEX, up to Bronze and its alloys. All the materials are rigorously controlled and certified.
Grey Cast Iron
Grey Cast IronGrey Cast Iron (called EN-GJL-250) is the principal material used for the conveyance of civil waste water, muddy waters, active sludge, rain water and white water. This material is also widely used to convey mildly aggressive or abrasive liquids with PH values > 6.5, or liquids containing sand in quantities <1 g/l.

Smelted austenitic Stainless Steel
This kind of S. S. is particularly suitable for the conveyance of acidic wastes with high chloride contents as well as brackish wastes and sea water. Thanks to its high resistance against chemical agents, it finds many applications in the Chemical Industry and in process technology.
Marine Bronze
This kind of S. S. is particularly suitable for the conveyance of acidic wastes with high chloride contents as well as brackish wastes and sea water. Thanks to its high resistance against chemical agents, it finds many applications in the Chemical Industry and in process technology.

Cast Iron with Cathodic protection against corrosion
A good and economic solution for the lifting of sea water. A zinc anode component is screwed on the pump’s diffuser. Anode increase by 2-3 times the life of the pump. For high concentrations of salty water, different materials are suggested (marine bronze, stainless steel etc.).
